High-cost protection: At most SEK 1,450 in twelve months, then an exemption card (frikort)

Changing health centre: Free, via 1177, at most twice a year

Once you have paid SEK 1,450 in patient fees within twelve months you get an exemption card (frikort), and the visits are free for the rest of the period. The fees have applied since 1 January 2026.
